Respecting and Promoting Human Rights

Caring for the people who work for and with Ferrero is deeply rooted within our values as a family company. Respecting the human rights of every single person in our company and the communities where we operate is and has always been at our core.
We are committed to respecting and promoting human rights and preventing and mitigating any adverse impact of our operations, through a due diligence-based approach to human rights. Our approach is guided by the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the International Bill of Human Rights, and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Fundamental Labour Conventions.

FERRERO'S HUMAN RIGHTS POLICY STATEMENT

As human rights issues are broad and complex and require a multi-pronged approach, we have identified ten key areas where we prioritise our efforts across our value chain. Ferrero's Human Rights Policy Statement sets out our Human Rights principles for these key areas. It also highlights our approach towards implementation and engagement with all our employees and business partners and all relevant stakeholders on our Human Rights Policy Statement and principles.

Ferrero's Human Rights Policy Statement builds on our Code of Ethics, which outlines our ethical vision, principles, values and responsibilities as a company.

To learn more about how Ferrero is engaging with all its business partners, please consult our Code of Business Conduct, which outlines Ferrero’s guiding principles for responsible business practices, and the Ferrero Supplier Code, which highlights our expectations on responsible sourcing for all our suppliers.

FERRERO HUMAN RIGHTS REPORT

In order to increase the transparency of our initiatives and actions to promote human rights in our operations and in our supply chain, we worked on our first Human Rights Report. The Report is structured around our 10 salient issues identified in our Human Rights Policy Statement, and it is aligned with the UNGPs Reporting Framework.
